Data Strategies, Inc., was founded in 1981 by Les Jacobs, our current CEO.

Since that time, the company and the product have changed dramatically.

However, some things have remained constant:

  • Our commitment to our clients
  • Our goal to make every client a referral
  • Our belief that it takes a team - yours and ours - to ensure our mutual success

In our early years, we were among the very first companies to ever submit claims electronically.  Then we added electronic remittance.  Then electronic statements and eligibility.  We have met all electronic claims requirements well in advance of their due date.

With Y2K there were other changes needed – we provided  those changes well in advance.

Then HIPAA appeared and we have incorporated changes needed to accommodate HIPAA.

Now there are new electronic change requirements needed as well as electronic medical records changes.

Our track record shows we have done it before and we will do it again!

 

 

History

  • In 1981, our first product – DentalWare – for DOS (Disk Operating System) was created.  Anybody who remembers that is giving away their age!
  • In 1982, we released CompuMedic – also for DOS.  Some of our original clients from 1982 are still with us!  They will have used DSI software for almost their entire medical career!
  • We discontinued support for our DOS products in 2000 and provided a full upgrade path to our new Windows products.
  • In the mid-90s, we released CompuMedic and DentalWare for Windows - version 3.1 initially!  These were, and are, desktop products using Microsoft Access as the database.  They continue to be supported today.
  • With the advent of the Internet, we developed a web-enabled product – elligence –the back end of the word intelligence.  Intel beat us to it and got the front end!
  • With the release of our EMR, we changed the name of our software from elligence to MDsuite to signify a completely integrated application for the entire medical suite – front office, mid-office and back-office.

We provide full migrations from CompuMedic for Windows to MDsuite.

MDsuite functionality continues to expand – with the advent of a patient portal and direct connections to major labs.  New functionality in the works will add integration with signature pads as well as medical devices. 

We have always provided a complete, intuitive and practical system at a fair price; and we will continue  to do so.

Although the past has been exciting, we expect the future to be even more so.
